The book Upplandsvävar i ny form

- Åsa Viksten Strömbom The book is aimed at people who are interested in reading about weaving, materials, customs, and traditions from a historical perspective. It also includes, among other things, descriptions of the Blixt blanket, a technique unique to Uppland. There are also articles in the book by three people with special expertise: flax, rya rugs, sheep, and wool. For those who want to weave themselves, there are 22 weaving notes for new fabrics. Most of the new fabrics in the book use four shafts and four to six treadles.
