Low whorl spindle in birch wood by Lars-Åke Karlsson. Comes in four sizes. Each spindle is unique as it is handmade. Can vary a bit in weight and measurements. Big: - Lenght: 24-25 cm (9.5") - Whorl: 12,5 cm in diameter (5") - Weight: ca 80 g (2.8") Great for plying many strands together and for bulkier yarns – it spins for a really long time! Medium: - Lenght: 22-23 cm (9") - Whorl: 9 cm in diameter (3.5") - Weight: 45-50 g (1.6-1.7 oz) Good for spinning medium and heavier weight yarns or for plying thinner weights. Spins fast using thigh roll. Small: - Lenght: 20-21 cm (8") - Whorl: 7,5 cm in diameter (3") - Weight: 25-30 g (1 oz) Good for spinning thinner yarns and for plying lace/cobweb weight. An excellent allround spindle with a good weight for many types of spinning projects. Mini: - Lenght: 15 cm (6") - Whorl: 5 cm in diameter (2") - Weight: 12-15 g (0.5 oz) Very good for spinning really thin yarns such as lace and cobweb/gossamer weight. Perfect for spinning on the sofa, bus or train.
